colours and toning are good but the sweet feeling is not there and not very openly displayed... I tend to view the piece as a sad and lonely piece instead and the birds are mocking the scarecrow...

The bitter feeling is well displayed! Not much of strangeness though. Should consider colouring the love birds with brighter colours instead of dull grey. Overall good attempt :)

Here's my brain juice:
The birds are supposedly lovebirds. Tearing scarecrow obviously had a bitter feeling cos of 2 things:
1)the birds, strangely, are on the scarecrow's arm.
2)the lovebirds, probably reminded scarecrow of its past. it was a sweet yet bitter feeling.
