The Return of Skeward

We have taken a long walk.
A walk into the enchanted garden of hope.

We have returned from the walk.
Now we would like to take you through this enchanted garden of hope.

Gone for a Walk

We have gone for a walk. =)

Title: "Gone for Exam Break"
Artist: CropCircle

Skeward is taking an exam break as of today. We will be back sometime end of November or early December!

For those who are under exam stress, here's a bottle of essence of chicken lil' for you. All the best for your upcoming papers!!!

Busy Little Bumble Bees

You may have noticed the slight drop in the number of posts in Skeward recently. That is because most of the Skewarders have returned to school, now that the summer break is over. (T_T) Loads of administratives work and the need to switch one's mind back from the beach.

From sketches we went on to thousands of words a day, we sometimes do wonder if school is really for us. But with all the encouraging comments and brilliant requests to Skeward, you have kept us sane! Weekends are what we looked forward to, especially so when we can draw or join our friends for a cup of coffee or two. Is it time for a break?

We understand that some of you have chanced upon Skeward while searching for tutorials on "how to draw yada yada and blah blah blah". Though we may not have any tutorials for you, we do hope that our simple sketches draw some inspirations for you to start your sketches! Why not share with us your sketches here?

On another note, Skeward is looking into adding children's innocent drawings to our site (Skeward Jr?). So if you have little kids, younger siblings, cousins or even your neighbours, encourage them to draw now and send to us at skeward@gmail.com!

We have unknowingly stepped into the month of August!
And in a few days time, we will be celebrating Singapore's 42nd Birthday!

The Skeward team hereby wishes all Singaporean a continuous abundance and great health. May we all, together, make this a City of Possibilities!

We are growing!!!

As I watch Isaac Mendez in Heroes painting the future away, it kind of scares me as his eyeballs were covered with a layer of white don't-know-what. Phew, luckily none of us are heroin abusers or do we get high on pencil lead and start drawing. But how I wish I have a tenth of his special gift, minus the need to go on heroin of cos.
Oh btw, Heroes have got great Fan Art Gallery here!

Now that we are into our third week, it's really heartening to see visitors coming from the United States, India, South Africa, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and the list goes on. Of cos not forgetting that the main supporters coming from our very own Singapore! Welcome to this humble sketch blog and do drop by again for more sketches on this blog!

Some new stuffs:
1) I have received feedbacks from you that posting a comment here can be quite troublesome. Oh well, I decided to take away the trouble and added a TagBoard. So now you can make your request, comments, suggestions to us through this new boardie.

2) We have also added a donation button recently. So if our drawings make your day, you may want to consider buying us some pencils and crayons. Transactions are secured by PayPal!

3) If you like us, link to us in your homepage! Help us share this joy of drawing with your friends and family. Copy and paste the html code (on the right) on your template.
With that, hope you have a great stay here in Skeward! =)

Skewarders In Da House

Boys and girls,

Don't we all have a child in our heart?
It's a joy for us as we celebrate the first request for Skeward!

Before this request, Skewarders were scratching their heads thinking of how to get the drawings done without any topics or phrases. Luckily, the twinking Twink puts on her twinking tw-hat and came up with this twinking tw-idea - Skeward artist to each come out with a topic for one another.

So that was how the first sketching, "Bitter, Sweet and Strange", came about. The comment box feels hungry so you better know what to do! And more sketches and drawings are coming right up to you.

Meanwhile, a quick introduction to our current artists in Skeward:

Twink
冰霜雪夜 a.k.a Frost
CropCircle
Beat Emotion

Do look out for our Artists' Profile in the future!

Last but not least, we still welcome new members on board. If you have a request for drawings, please email to us your topic and we will get back to you soon! For further details, you may refer to our FAQ here.

Start a Sketch

Welcome to Skeward, the sketch and draw blog!

Skeward is a place for artists, whether professional or hobbyists, to share their art pieces with the rest of the world. Ideas and concept of drawings come from either the artiste themselves or from Skeward's readers! Yes, we are not joking. We can draw for you!

Three Simple Steps:

1) Think of a phrase (one that describes you, how you feel, what you think, just anything!).
2) Email the phrase to us.
3) Once our artists are done with your drawings, we will post it here at Skeward.

Skeward provides
- free drawing & sketching
- an element of surprise since we draw based on our own perception of your phrase. It's freestyle drawing after all!
- a place for artists to showcase their pieces
